Christmas and New Years

On Christmas Eve we got our family pictures taken by Cristin before heading over to the dome for some Christmas Even fun!  She did a REALLY good job and I love them all!!!  Unfortunately they are too big to upload to the blog - or for some other reason won't load…?  I'm not very technical, so maybe when we get it sorted out they can be in another post!

At the dome we went out on the pond and got pulled around behind the tractor - Charlie really liked it!  We also had traditional clam chowder and unwrapped presents from Nana and Papa.  The older kids could steal, but luckily no one could steal Charlie's awesome little wooden bus!  He loves that thing…

Charlie was SO EXCITED about this tractor!

Riding behind!

Charlie loved seeing the horses!

Cousins! Charlie and Nellie

We have a family tradition of going to the Spruce Grove live nativity pageant, then driving down candy cane lane after!

Onsie family picture - Mary had a giant one that Andrew donned for this picture!

Matching onsies!

Charlie was quite helpful Christmas morning - he would go and pick a present out from under the tree, then he'd take it to grandpa who would look at the tag and tell Charlie who the present was for!  Then Charlie would hand it to that person.  It worked well until Charlie insisted every present was for Mary… or then Amy...

Opening presents!

Aunt Amy gave Charlie a rock sucker for breakfast!  Trying to go for favourite aunt...

Elly and Aunt Mary

Charlie trying on Aunt Amy's boots!

Shannon and Alex took us out for lunch - with no babies!  It was delightful!

On December 29 we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary!

Cute!

Charlie's first time tobogganing!

Tobogganing!

Happy New Years! Andrews family usually has an early family party for the kids so that they can do a countdown too!  After the kids party we went back to my parents place to play games and eat yummy food!

This was taken right before we left to go to the airport to travel home!
And just as a side note - I officially HATE flying!  So, we left on a Sunday at night which was great.  Charlie unfortunately started having diarrhea earlier in the day and went through some pairs of pants… so we thought we'd better pack extras which we needed before we even boarded!  Our first flight was from Edmonton to Vancouver, and on it Charlie was being so whiney!  Eventually he said his tummy hurt… and then he barfed! 5 times or so and that is a short flight!  He hates barfing in anything (bucket, bowl, barf bag…) so while I was watching him like a hawk waiting for a sign barf was coming, when it did come and I was trying to hold the bag in front of him he was simultaneously trying to push it away! Oh dear…. by the end there was barf on him, on me, on his seat and on my seat.  Luckily we gave him some gravol when we landed and there was no more barfing!  I never want to fly with children again… which obviously isn't going to happen...
These two pictures from the photoshoot were small enough upload - just so you can get an idea of their cuteness!

So adorable!

Well that rounds up the year of 2015!! And a little bit extra too….

Fun with Family

I have a lot of catching up to do!  Even with my 'one line a day' journal I'm like 2 months behind!  While we were home there was so much going on all the time, it was difficult to just sit and write!  Now as I write this we're back to Australia and we've been here for 2 weeks and have yet to finish unpacking from the move we made BEFORE we flew home…. Life with two kids is so hectic and busy, but I'd take them over a clean house and updated journal any day :)  Here are some more pictures from our time at home.  Charlie was so spoiled for attention!

This one should have been with the last post - gingerbread houses!

We went to Millennium Place with some of Andrews family - Charlie had a great time, and Elly liked the water too!  With admission you get admission to everything, so we went to the little indoor playground after swimming

It was good for them to get some of their energy out!

While we were home we got to have some fun 'Daniel Parties'  they're always a good time!

ZOO LIGHTS

Charlie was quite excited to see the elephant!

Elly was quite excited in the elephant enclosure to get out of her carrier!

Family Picture!

Colorful ice house!

We got matching tattoos! Of the "Bad big wolf" as Charlie calls him!  He became OBSESSED with the story of the three little pigs while we were home.  He wanted to play it all the time, and i even found him in the closet telling himself the story!

One Saturday they had "The Grinch" playing at the theatre for $2.50 a ticket, so Amy and I took Charlie!  He ran around the theatre for the second half of the movie...

Out past Leduc there is a farm that sets out tons of light displays!  So one Sunday we met Sarah's family out there and spent a while walking around!

Sleigh Ride!

We spent a day at the Waterpark!  Charlie had so much fun and for days after was asking to go to the Waterpark!

Group shot!  Charlie LOVED all the watersides (well the ones he was big enough to go on!)

This girl has the best smile!

Grandma spent a lot of time watching the children so we could go out - thanks mom!

Amy was reading to the children and Charlie just fell right asleep!

Under 2's are free to Galaxyland with one adult to accompany them - Charlie was a bit nervous at first, but warmed up to the idea of rides after not too long!

Charlie and Mary riding the cups!

Aunt Amy is obsessed with cotton candy, so we took Charlie to get the best kind ever!

Well the next post is up to Christmas Eve and New Years! I'm getting there...
