Townsville Trip

For the September school holidays Andrew had a course going on in Townsville, so we made it a family holiday!  Charlie and Elly are a dream to travel with, Hazel... not so much.  If only she liked watching shows for more than 5 minutes!  (I never thought I'd want my kid to be obsessed with shows - but only on vacation!)  We had a great time, the highlight (once again) being Crystal Creek.  We had such nice weather and the water levels were perfect!  We also took advantage of fun things that were going on for the school holidays at the Museum and malls.

This is the coolest tree that we stop at on the way to Townsville - it's got a huge canopy with open space underneath (you can't really tell from the picture, but we love it and if you had it in your yard you could have the coolest fort!)

Where they put us up during Andrews course!

We stayed at the Big4 when the course wasn't on

No trip to Townsville is complete without a visit to Chipmunks!

The Strand

Food was the best entertainment on the drive!

Charlie Turns 6!

For Charlies 6th birthday we did a NINJAGO theme - Andrew made the kids foam swords and cardboard shields, we had foam throwing stars and obstacle courses and all sorts of fun things for "ninja training"  On his actual birthday we went over to the fossil centre, and had crepes and cake for dinner!  I cannot believe this amazing kid is already 6!

We borrowed heaps of fun things from the toy library for Charlies ninja training party!
