Almost "Winter"

Well the weather cooled down for about 3 days and it was so exciting!  But then it went right back up to 30 and it's stayed that way for a couple of weeks. But even 30 is tolerable when it gets to 20 at night... wow reading that I just know we are going to freeze when we move back to Canada!  Since the last post we've had school holidays and almost a month of school after, I'm finding it very hard to keep up blogging.  But I will persevere! We had Easter in there and Charlie lost his first tooth!  I can't believe how quickly he's growing up.  He's even started reading at school!

13 Months!

Charlie's class had a "Prep White Zoo" where the kids did presentations on different animals
to the parents and it was really neat!
Enjoying the last of the water before it dries up for the winter!

Easter Hat Parade at Happy Valley
When the kids got back to their classroom from the parade they discovered the Easter Bunny had been!
There were even footprints!  It was all very exciting.
Hazels first ponytail!
These two!  They love eating the watermelon all the way down to the rind!
We got the train set out to wash it and try and get rid of some of it but Charlie and Elly
went all out building and now of course they want to keep it!

First lost tooth!
Such a big kid now!
Easter story time at the library !

Elly made a bridge for Hazel - so cute!

For the Primary Easter activity they had a bunch of games for the kids to participate in,
Charlie and Elly both had a really good time!  Look at Elly's determination to rob the nest!

Easter hunt around the house!  Hazel was still asleep so the kids hid some eggs for her to find later!

Hazel has loved starting to feed herself with a spoon

Charlie got all ready for school and was about to go out the door,
when I noticed he had no shorts on!
Elly loves Kindy!
Gotta love Woolies free fruit for kids!

Hazel Turns One

Well on March 2, 2019 Hazel Alice Cahoon turned one!  The poor girl was sick though and despite having a cake for her to smash, she was just not into it.  And actually we postponed the cake smash for a few days because she was sick and it just wasn't happening.... So Charlie and Elly got right in there and smashed some cake!

One of Charlie's entires for the LEGO contest
Elly has discovered bubble baths and now she's obsessed! And Hazel likes to eat the bubbles...

Dressed up and ready to go!

I had wanted to make a cute cake smash but it just wasn't going to happen!  I wanted to be able to see the cute rainbow layers, but it just ended up looking trashy!!! Oh well!

Another entry for the LEGO contest!  A road train!

Photos of the Cuties

Since I'm so far behind on the blog right now I'm going to stick with pictures to help me remember the last couple of months ~ and here's hoping I get more on track with it in the future!

For Valentines Day we made heart shaped pizza!

Lots of teeth coming through!
When we were in Townsville I bought some play dough
body parts that Elly was thrilled to try out!

We had a bit of rain and the road flooded over (this is the road we take to get to Charlie's school)
So we had to go the long way around and the kids really wanted a picture of the road...
Hazel is now a bit entertained by food! Yay!

Elly does a tumble tots class every Thursday which she just LOVES!

Elly wanted me to take this picture of her to send to
Grandma and Grandpa with her "most beautiful smile"
Elly's kinda has a metal horse and wagon out front which the kids love to climb on!
I sent Valentines in Charlie and Ellys lunches! It's a bit sad they don't celebrate it here -
I always remember loving making valentines and decorating my mailbox!

Princess Elly at playgroup
This is the kids favourite thing to do at playgroup and it is my least favourite thing...
it's not a good position for your back!
Andrew painted Elly's nails and she fell asleep
(it took a long time - Andrew is a perfectionist!)
The first show and share at Charlie's school was a family kite - where
you decorate it with things that tell about you and your family
The movie theatre here had a lego building contest and you could enter as many times as you wanted over about a month.
This is one of Charlie's entries and he had so many good ones he WON the contest!  He got a LEGO set, a family pass to see the Lego movie, a movie poster and $10 to spend at the concession.  He was thrilled.

Dance party!
More dance party!
At Mainly Music they have a heap of toys that they pull out at the end and this car is Hazels favourite!
